In the past two years, rising temperatures during harvest have posed new challenges, with some days reaching 30°C. This leaves us less than two hours to transport freshly harvested olives to the press.
To ensure safe and efficient processing, we need to invest in:
- A new olive press line: This advanced system will process 400kg of olives per hour.
Investment: 40,000 EUR - A modern refrigeration unit: To store harvested olives safely when immediate processing isn’t possible.
Investment: 27,000 EUR
Your subscription directly helps fund this essential 67,000 EUR investment, ensuring we continue producing premium olive oil under optimal conditions.

Goal #2: Cultivation Challenges & Solutions
Extreme droughts and rising temperatures are accelerating soil moisture evaporation at an alarming rate, causing water and heat stress in our olive groves. In some areas, we are even seeing early signs of desertification. Additionally, a shortage of workforce makes managing all our groves increasingly difficult, and the steep terrain in some orchards makes it unsafe to use heavy equipment.
To address these challenges, we need to invest in:
- Smart irrigation systems: These will ensure efficient water use, combat drought, and protect our groves.
Investment: 40,000 EUR - Agile, automated farming equipment: Drones, dumpers, and mowers will help modernize our farm and manage difficult terrain safely.
Investment: 35,000 EUR
Your subscription helps fund this 75,000 EUR investment, securing the future of our olive groves.

Goal #3: Fully Circular & Sustainable Farming
To combat climate change and adapt to its effects, we need to invest in sustainable solutions that will help secure the future of our farm:
- Green energy production: Installing solar panels will allow us to generate our own clean energy.
Investment: 50,000 EUR - Water production: A seawater desalination system will provide a sustainable source of water for our groves.
Investment: 100,000 EUR - Sustainable farm inputs: By recycling olive prunings and olive press by-products, we can produce compost, compost tea, and biochar to enrich our soil.
